Immediate Supervisor Medical Director JOB PURPOSE:
The MA role is to efficiently oversee any and all medication issues related to Detox and Residential Clients, as well as train staff on Detox protocols.
A.
Job Duties and Responsibilities Work with the consulting Physician and Staff to help determine detoxification protocol, doctors orders, and medication clarification Assess Clients for any detoxification symptoms Train all new hires on medication observation protocol, policies/systems, and Infection Control Create and implement house policies for various Detox needs and Medication needs Medication Destruction for all Liberty House LLC Properties Inputting, logging and auditing all medications and evaluations for Detox clients Auditing all Client medication observation for all Liberty House LLC Properties Resolving Pharmacy insurance issues for Detox Clients Facilitating refills for Detox clients On-Call at all times for any Detox medication issues Oversees, trains, and completes all necessary Infection Control duties Oversight of the QM email thread and following up with medical/medication concern s for all Liberty House LLC Properties Forward all controlled medication refusals to appropriate staff Audit intake emails sent out by staff Audit and sign off on all Detox evaluations, Nursing Assessments and Nutritional Screens Audit all physician evaluations:
referrals, labs, follow-ups etc Ensure all client's medications are picked up in a timely manner and the orders are entered in accurately Audit DHCS Health Questionnaire Audit Client Face-Sheet to ensure all appropriate information is updated including client Insurance Info has been inputted Update the Client board daily with proper detox protocols and notify staff of any changes Communicate with clients regarding medications, doctors orders.
Inform clients of the specific meds they are taking.
Send detox census to Admissions Communicate with referent specific medical procedures and eval clarifications when needed Facilitate groups and group charting when needed B Expectations DEPENDABILITY - Employee can be counted on to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner with little supervision.

referrals, labs, follow-ups, Facesheet Safety and security--the individual observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.

Minimum Qualifications Education / Experience / Onboarding Holds licensure as a Medical Assistant according to state licensing professional board Health Screening and Negative TB Test Certificates and Licenses Medical Assistant Knowledge An acute understanding of counseling and other treatment procedures for alcoholism and drug addiction related problems.
A knowledge of regulations concerning alcoholism and drug addiction treatment.
Working knowledge of alcoholism and drug addiction and treatment procedures for such illness.
